𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐮𝐬, 𝐆𝐥𝐚𝐧, 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞

When the recent earthquake struck Barangay Big Margus, Glan, Sarangani Province, many families were left facing uncertainty, fear, and the difficult task of recovery. With roads damaged and landslides still blocking portions of the route, reaching the community was a challenge—but one that could not stand in the way of bringing hope.

Through the Caravan of Hope, Mahintana Foundation, Inc., together with Dole Philippines, Inc., became the first group to reach Barangay Big Margus following the earthquake. Despite hazardous road conditions, the team pressed on to ensure that assistance reached families who needed it most.

In partnership with the Highway Patrol Group (HPG), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the Provincial Government of Sarangani and the Local Government Unit of Glan, a total of 488 relief packs, medicines, and clean drinking water were distributed to affected households.

This mission was made possible through the generous support of the Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF), GCERF, Pacific Synergy Food and Beverage Corporation, and Dole Philippines, Inc. Their commitment enabled life-saving assistance to reach one of the most vulnerable and hard-to-access communities in the municipality.

Recovery does not end today. Many families continue to face a long road ahead, and they need our continued support. We invite individuals, organizations, private groups, and humanitarian partners to stand with us as we bring hope, relief, and recovery to more communities affected by disaster.

As more organizations mobilize relief efforts, we strongly encourage close coordination with the concerned Local Government Units (LGUs) and local disaster response offices. Coordinated action helps identify underserved communities, prevents duplication of assistance, and ensures that resources are directed to areas with the greatest need. By working together, we can deliver a more effective, equitable, and impactful humanitarian response.

Hope grows when it is shared. By working together, we can reach more families, restore more lives, and ensure that no one is left behind.
