CARAVAN OF HOPE (JUNE 11, 2026)

๐‘ช๐’‚๐’“๐’‚๐’—๐’‚๐’ ๐’๐’‡ ๐‘ฏ๐’๐’‘๐’† reached earthquake-affected communities in Sarangani Province on June 11, 2026, bringing immediate relief and support to families impacted by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck the region on June 8, 2026. Led by Mahintana Foundation, Inc., in partnership with Dole Philippines, Highway Patrol Group (HPG)โ€“Sarangani, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Auxillary, Coast Guard District Southern Mindanao, and PCG Maasim and Maitum. The humanitarian initiative was made possible through support mobilized from the Peace and Equity Foundation.

715 relief packs were distributed to affected householdsโ€”200 packs in Barangay Kamanga, Maasim, and 515 packs to affected households in the barangays of Malalag, Old Poblacion, Kalaneg, Mabay, Pangi, Pinol, Bati-an, and Tuanadatu in Maitum.

This rapid response intervention was made possible through the collaboration and support of the Local Government Unit of Maasim and Maitum, Sarangani Province through its Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (MDRRMOs) and Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office together with KABALIKAT CIVICOM, and Maitum Municipal Child Representatives.
