On October 24, 2023, South Cotabato CSO Academy launched the second batch of scholars for the program, alongside the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement.

To provide context for the program, PM Hayd-Ali Suwaib, representing the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in South Cotabato, elucidated the rationale behind this initiative to the new scholars, emphasizing its significance. Ms. Liza Duropan-Hora, Executive Director of MFI, delivered an encouraging message of support to the second batch of scholars in the program. RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, then provided additional insights into the CSO Academy.

This academy caters Civil Society Organization (CSO) leaders and their organizations. The CSO Academy of SOCCSKSARGEN is the result of a collaborative effort involving various government agencies, including the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 12, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region 12, the Association of Foundations (AF), and the Mahintana Foundation, Inc.
