Tboli Sbu Senior High School (TSSHS) in Brgy. Lamdalag, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato formally accepted on April 4, 2017 the newly constructed 2 classroom building initiated through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Education, Ateneo de Davao University, RD Group of Companies and RD Foundation in partnership with Dolefil and Mahintana Foundation, Inc.
In a simple turnover ceremony held at the school grounds, the event was graced by representatives from project donors and partners namely, Mr. Kernie Fanage and Ptr. Danilo Fredeluces from RD Group of Companies and RD Foundation; Ms. Wiki Hamilton representing Dolefil; and Mr. Martiniano Magdolot, MFI President and CEO. The project is also supported by the Municipal Mayor of Lake Sebu, Hon. Antonio Fungan and Brgy. Captain Antonia B. Menson of Brgy. Lamdalag who were also present to witness the momentous undertaking.
As part of the ceremonial turnover, a thanksgiving ritual was held which was led by Datu Benito Blonto and followed by the dedication of the building. Right after was the ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the opening of the newly constructed classroom building. DepEd XII representative, Mr. Jennifer Tupas, rendered his congratulatory address and extended his gratitude to all the people who have painstakingly worked for the completion of this project. “The new school building will provide a better learning environment for the students so they can be inspired to study harder and reach their highest potential,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Benjie M. Manuel, TSSHS Teacher-in-charge, also shared the challenges that the school management had to go through to provide students with quality education and hoped that this project will help change the situation.
