Dr. Rupali Sisir Banu, consultant of the World Health Organization Expanded Immunization Program , who is presently in the country to campaign for and promote the massive measles immunization project , came to Mahintana on March 26, 2014 to document the foundation’s implementation of the Reaching the Urban Poor Project in General Santos City and learn more about the foundation’s community development interventions. Dr. Banu was accompanied by Mr. Garibaldi Alvin Enriquez , Technical Coordinator of the RUP project- WHO Philippines Country Office and Ms. Edna Togon EPI Coordinator of the City Health Office- Gen. Santos. Dr. Banu also shared her experiences in community health and emphasized issues and concerns where development organizations like MFI can be of help in the community.
