At the South Cotabato Bamboo Industry Development Council’s Year-End Assessment, held on December 3, 2024, at The Farm, Koronadal City, South Cotabato, Mahintana Foundation, Inc. was honored as the Best Performing Council Member. This recognition underscores Mahintana’s exemplary contributions to advancing the council’s vision of a sustainable and thriving bamboo industry.

Key milestones celebrated included the planting of bamboos and other endemic trees along gullies and creeks in Polomolok and Tupi, as well as the establishment of a Bamboo Treatment Facility funded by Dole Philippines, Inc. Mahintana also strengthened partnerships with various organizations, including Base Bahay Foundation, Inc., which introduced its innovative Cement Bamboo Frame Technology, and the Local Government of Polomolok, which expressed interest in establishing socialized housing using this technology.

The event brought together stakeholders, partners, and council members to celebrate the accomplishments of 2024, highlighting milestones in bamboo planting, community engagement, and resource development. Looking ahead to 2025, exciting initiatives such as bamboo fiber projects and enhanced resource monitoring were proposed to propel the industry to new heights.
