The Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), from Geneva, Switzerland and serving as the Programme Donor of ProPEACE 2 programme, conducted a Learning Visit on February 26-27, 2024, in Polomolok, South Cotabato. The GCERF Team, led by Mr. Basile Ema Ebede (Country Manager), Ms. Rana Elmeligy (Monitoring and Evaluation & Capacity Building Specialist), Ms. Axelle Dutoit (Grant Finance Officer), and Ms. Jennifer Buan (GCERF National Adviser), conducted sessions with Mahintana, Kasilak Foundation, Inc., OND-HESED Foundation, Inc., Maguindanaon Development Foundation, Inc., and Tribal Leaders Development Foundation, Inc.

The GCERF team conducted on-site visit of program partners and beneficiaries, including the Office of the Muslim Council of Elders, with the presence of representatives from Matutum Ministerial Association (MMA) and Municipal Tribal Council. The team further proceeded to the Municipal Tribal Council Office and the IP School (Landan National High School) in Landan.

Continuing their visit, the GCERF team engaged with the MILF community and Madrasah Arrahmaniyyah Al-Islamiah in Barangay Lapu. Notably, the team observed an actual Culture of Peace Session facilitated by the Moro Youth Organization of Polomolok (MYOP), with participation from security forces, Moro, IP, SK, In-School Youth, MCE, Barangay Council, and health workers.

This Learning Visit provided the GCERF with an opportunity to interact with the beneficiaries and partners, addressing their concerns. The team also visited the offices of programme partners, expressed gratitude, and observed the actual implementation of activities.
