On March 6, 2024, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) XII and the Entrepinoy Volunteers Foundation, Inc. (EVFI) visited Mahintana Foundation Inc. (MFI) as part of their objective to contribute to the development of the Startup Ecosystem Roadmap in SOCCSKSARGEN. EVFI aimed to gather crucial insights and conduct one-on-one onsite meetings with key stakeholders, including heads of agencies from government and private sectors, universities, and TBIs.

During their visit, MFI provided an insightful overview of their various projects, aligning them with the roadmap’s strategic objectives. Notably, the delegation explored the SEED Farm, where they were introduced to the Lawil De Afus, a Bamboo association from Brgy. Landan in Polomolok, organized by Mahintana. Here, they witnessed the equipment provided by DOST to support local initiatives.

Continuing their tour, the group visited the Mahintana Learning Resource Center, where they delved into the MFI Nutripan and HealthPlus initiatives. These programs underscore MFI’s unwavering commitment to community well-being and sustainable development.

As part of their engagement, the team paid a courtesy visit to Polomolok Municipal Mayor, Hon. Bernie D. Palnecia where they explored potential partnerships and discussed projects that could benefit the municipality.
