The Project Safe Spaces and Accountability to Flourish Child Engagements (SAFE) of Mahintana Foundation Inc. conducted a three-day Training of Trainers on Child Rights, Protection, and Participation for Civil Society Organization (CSO’s) and Community Support Groups (CSG’s), last September 7-9, 2022, in partnership with Save the Children Philippines, Kasilak Development Foundation Inc. and Dole Philippines. The objective of the training is to address the high incidences of inequalities and discrimination through multiplying child rights protection and social accountability implementers with various partnered organizations. Through fun activities, the participants learned and enjoyed the the three-day training facilitated by Mr. Roel Ian Blanker. To further assist the participants on how to facilitate a training, Mr. Hector P. Hilado then shared about The Art of Facilitaion and Documentation. Mr. Jhonne Henry Magtibay was also invited to speak and share about the programs and policies of children on the PLGU level. To show their gratitude for the said activity conducted by MFI, one of the participants composed a song during their activity and said “dako akong pasalamat sa kani nga training kay nakakat-on ko unsaon pag amuma sa mga bata isip usa ka ginikanan” (I am very grateful of this training since it taught me how to take care of the children as a parent). After the said training, the participants are expected to conduct what they have learned during the Training of Trainers to their respective organizations.
