Mahintana environment team led by Project Coordinator Ms, Ella Mae M. Babao monitored the vegetation in the field gullies 112B/113C, Polo, 103AC, Cannery and 113A, Brgy. Kinilis on July 4, 2020.

During the flight, the following were observed: a) Field gully 112B/113C has increasing vegetation and stability of banks. Although there are some areas that need to be reinforced with bamboo planting; b) Field gully 103A/C leading to Ma. Rosa Creek has dense vegetation at the upstream area however, the gully bed and bank after the last drop structure going downstream has widened and has lesser vegetation; c) Field gully 113A has high vegetation on the whole stretch. There is a sighting of a Black-shouldered Kite (though not confirmed) midstream of the gully last June 2019 and during the gully walk (July 2020). There are also areas observed that needs indigenous stone dike reinforcement. The recommendation is to prioritize tree growing and indigenous stone dike construction at field gully 103AC.
