Mahintana Foundation, Inc. (MFI), through Project COMPACT, together with Save the Children Philippines, successfully held its Project Kick-Off Activity on March 16, 2026, at Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City. This marks the formal establishment and strengthening of this year’s partnership, with Project COMPACT now on its 4th year of implementation across Alabel, Maitum, Polomolok, and Tupi, working towards ensuring that girls aged 10–17 years living in Geographically Isolated Indigenous Peoples’ communities are protected from adolescent pregnancy and CEFMU by addressing gender discrimination and violence.

The event was highlighted by the signing of the Sub-Award Agreement, led by Mr. Martiniano Magdolot, MFI President, and Ms. Makpil Zarrin Dem Aponesto, SCP GSCO Field Manager, and witnessed by Ms. Liza Duropan-Lopez, MFI Executive Director, together with project staff from Mahintana and Save the Children Philippines.

In his message, Mr. Magdolot expressed his gratitude to Save the Children Philippines for its continued financial and technical support to Mahintana. He also encouraged the project team to embrace the partnership as an opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully, emphasizing the collective role of everyone in achieving the project’s objectives.
As an organization, MFI continues to strive in integrating and consolidating its programs to ensure more responsive and impactful interventions in the communities it serves. Moving forward in building stronger collaborations and creating lasting change for children and communities.
