
Mahintana Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Sarangani and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kiamba, officially launched and blessed the Upscaling Nutripan Business for Rural Economy & Agriculture Development (BREAD) – Kiamba Project today at the Kiamba Public Market.
The ceremonial launch was attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from partner institutions and local communities, signaling strong multi-sectoral support for the initiative.

In his message of support, Kiamba Municipal Mayor George Falgui emphasized the LGU’s full commitment to promoting health, nutrition, and inclusive livelihood opportunities through programs such as the Nutripan BREAD Project. He underscored the significance of partnerships in achieving long-term, sustainable development outcomes for the people of Kiamba.
Mr. Martiniano Magdolot, President of Mahintana, highlighted the organization’s continued dedication to advancing community-based nutrition initiatives. He reiterated the need for collective action in combating malnutrition and building resilient local economies through innovation and grassroots collaboration.
Speaking on behalf of Executive Director Ms. Liza Duropan Lopez, Mr. Roel Ian P. Blanker, Operations Officer of Mahintana, provided a comprehensive overview of the project. He detailed the initiative’s core objectives—primarily to mitigate malnutrition through accessible and affordable nutritious bread, while simultaneously supporting rural livelihoods by empowering local communities to engage in sustainable bread production enterprises.

The launch of the Nutripan BREAD Kiamba Project represents a major stride toward improving public health and strengthening economic resilience in rural communities. Mahintana and its partners expressed deep gratitude to all stakeholders for their unwavering support and commitment in bringing this impactful project to fruition.
