In an effort to address hunger and malnutrition, Mahintana Foundation, Inc., formally inaugurated the Nutripan Bakeshoppe at the Tantangan Municipal Compound, South Cotabato funded by Dole Asia Holdings through the Dole Philippines, Inc. The event also featured the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), solidifying the partnership among the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tantangan, Mahintana Foundation, Inc., and Dole Philippines, Inc.
Hon. Timee Joy Torres-Gonzales, Municipal Mayor of Tantangan, expressed her gratitude to Dolefil and Mahintana for this initiative. In her speech, she emphasized the bakeshop’s impact, stating, βThis is not about money and income; it is about touching the lives of our people.β
The Nutripan Bakeshoppe is envisioned as a cornerstone of Tantanganβs strategy to address malnutrition by providing affordable, nutritious bread products to the local community. Its successful launch highlights the effectiveness of public-private partnerships in tackling critical social issues and advancing sustainable development goals.
Through this initiative, Mahintana reaffirms its commitment to the Zero Hunger goal, exemplifying its dedication to fostering healthier and more equitable communities.
