A field tour at the Mahintana Foundation SEED Farm was successfully conducted by the Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Pre-Professional Group (PSABE-PPG) as part of the 28th Mindanao-Wide PSABE-PPG Convention. The event brought together approximately 700 participants, including students and faculty members from 11 academic institutions: MSU-GSC, MSU-Main, MSU-Maguindanao, JHCSC, USM, DSSC, USEP, USTP, JRMSU, CMU, and WMSU.

The field tour provided participants with a unique opportunity to witness firsthand innovative practices in sustainable building and material utilization. The highlight of the visit was the exploration of the bamboo treatment facility and the bamboo model house. Through guided tours and interactive sessions, students gained valuable knowledge about the various stages of bamboo processing, from harvesting to construction. Students learned about the properties of bamboo as a building material and its environmental benefits.

The tour was instrumental in inspiring the next generation of engineers to embrace sustainable solutions and contribute to a greener future for all.
