RESOURCEGov 2 Project Manager Mr. Roel Ian P. Blanker was invited by South Cotabato Provincial Project Monitoring Committee (PPMC) for the Open Data Kit (ODK) Training Workshop on October 29-30, 2018 at Cinco Niñas, Koronadal City. Mahintana supports the Open Monitoring and Open Legislation Commitments of the Open Government Program (OGP). It was attended by 50 participants (Male 26, Female 24) of the different provincial offices part of the PPMC.
The first day was composed of the following activities: creation of Kobotoolbox account per department, discussion on the form generation, making their participants’ own forms, and presentation of generated forms. On the 2nd day, the participants used their ODK forms for the mock monitoring of two on-going projects namely the: 1) Alteration of the Grandstand and Construction of Control Tower in the South Cotabato Sports Complex; and 2) the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CGMP) funded road construction in Brgy. Cabuling, Tantangan, South Cotabato. After the mock monitoring, the participants presented their results and learnings. The participants also shared their optimism that the ODK system will be of great help to them in mapping and monitoring.
