On November 17-19,2015, the Lutheran World Relief funded Caravan of Hope Project relief assistance to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by armed conflict in Maguindanao conducted monitoring visit to affected communities that were provided with Water Filtration Units namely: (1) Sitio Puti, Barangay Ahan; (2) Barangay Datalpandan; (3) Sitio Tatapan, Barangay Kitango, Datu Saudi Ampatuan; and (4) Sitio Badak, Barangay Madia, Datu Saudi Ampatuan in Maguindanao. The installation of water filtration units, collectively, will provide communities with sufficient and safe drinking water and will help alleviate water-borne diseases.  Also, the Monitoring team from Mahintana Foundation, Inc. together with the IDP leaders, Local Government Unit, UnYPhil-Women and MinConSPaims provided Health, Nutrition and Livelihood assistance to the communities.

A site visit was also conducted at Brgy. Ahan for possible water system installation and the community is willing to cooperate and provide assistance in the installation, when made possible.
