Dole Philippines, Inc.-Upper Valley Operations, with the assistance from Mahintana Foundation, Inc., sponsored the “Lakbay Buhay Kalusugan (Journey, Life, Health) – Kalusugan Pangkalahatan on Wheels” (LBK-KP on Wheels), a DOH-designed health caravan, with the theme “50 years of working together with the community” in Poblacion, T’boli on March 13, 2013.
The activity, which was conducted in Poblacion, T’boli on March 13, 2013, has reached a total of 360 individuals during the behavior change campaign on how to practice safemotherhood, child care and nutrition and family planning as healthy living.The same number of individuals also availed of the free medical consultation and distribution of basic medicines. Moreover, 35 clients also benefited from the dental check-up and extraction, 200 children-beneficiaries on feeding and 50 individuals on haircut services. An interactive exhibit was also displayed in the area to further intensify health education and information to the families.
