Mahintana Foundation, Inc. has recently granted P90,000, for a total of P340,000, to support the operations of Sarangani Province Empowerment and Community Transformation Forum, Inc. (SPECTRUM) and to contribute to the collective account of Sarangani Bay Trust Fund (SBTF).
SPECTRUM is a private, non-stock, and social development organization that operates in Sarangani Province. It comprises various NGOs namely, Community Assessment and Strengthening of Community Property Rights, Inc. (CASCO), Conrado and Ladislawa Alcantara Foundation, Inc. (CLAFI), Community Development, Inc. (ComDev), Kasilak Development Foundation, Inc., Mahintana Foundation, Inc., OND-Hesed Foundation, Inc., SouthMin Habitat, Inc., and RD Foundation.
Strongly supported by SPECTRUM, SBTF aims to raise money for the protection of Sarangani Bay and to subsidize the personal insurance of volunteer fish wardens. To date, SBTF has generated an accumulated amount of P2M against its P20M target, sourced through the collaborative contribution of participating partners in Sarangani.
