As part of the project’s support to the Learning Sites particularly on capital augmentation, the South-Eastern Philippines Health and Economic Alternatives (HEAL) Project with support from the Delegation of the European Commission to the Philippines will turn-over boxes of medicines amounting to a total of P75,000.00 to three (3) Botika ng Barangays (BnBs) under the project’s Learning Sites within the Mt. Matutum Protected Landscape (MMPL). The initial sets of said medicines were turned-over to Landan BnB on July 1, 2009 at Barangay Landan, Polomolok, South Cotabato and Datalbaca BnB on July 24, 2009 at Datalbaca, Datalbatong, Malungon, Sarangani Province. The other BnB is the Linan BnB located at Barangay Linan, Tupi, South Cotabato. These BnBs are managed by the following community-based cooperatives, namely, Landan People’s Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LPMPC), Linan Protected Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LIPAMPCO); and Datalbaca Protected Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative (DPAMPCO), respectively. The last remaining turn-over activity is scheduled in the month of August 2009.
