
Mahintana Foundation, through its Adopt-A-School Program, successfully conducted the Groundbreaking Ceremony at Upper Sepaka Integrated School, and Upper Talahik Integrated School, Surallah, South Cotabato. This initiative was made possible with funding from the Alfonso Yuchengco Foundation, Inc. and Dole Philippines Inc., in partnership with the 549th Engineer ‘Kapayapaan’ Battalion of the 54th Engineer Brigade, the 38th Infantry Battalion and LGU Surallah.

The event commenced in the morning at Upper Sepaka Integrated School, where Mr. Randy P. Porcelin, the school head, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, dignitaries, and visitors. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the AY Foundation, Dole Philippines, Mahintana Foundation, LGU Surallah, and the Philippine Army for their unwavering support. In the afternoon, Ma’am Imelda Sumampong of Upper Talahik Integrated School also delivered a sincere welcome, reinforcing the collective spirit of collaboration for the advancement of education in South Cotabato. The event included the signing of the Inter-Local Agency Partnership (ILAP) and a symbolic groundbreaking.

Mr. Erwin Balogo, emphasized the importance of education and reaffirmed the company’s ongoing commitment to community development. BGEN Andre B. Santos, Commander of the 1st Mechanized Brigade, expressed his full support for the initiatives of Mahintana Foundation and Dole Philippines.
Hon. Pedro M. Matinong Jr., reiterated the LGU Surallah’s full support for initiatives focused on education and the environment. He also expressed his gratitude to Mahintana Foundation and Dole Philippines for their contributions to the Adopt-A-School Program.
The Adopt-A-School Program promises to bring lasting and meaningful improvements to the educational facilities of both schools, further strengthening its commitment to quality education.
