In celebration of the foundation’s 41st year anniversary and the project’s 11th year, Mahintana Foundation Inc. through the Health Plus Project conducted Lakbay-Buhay Kalusugan at Brgy. San Vicente, Banga, South Cotabato on October 12, 2018. The activity was in partnership with Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) and its suppliers to help on informing, educating and improving the barangay’s health and well-being through the services offered during the activity.
A caravan started from Provincial Capitol to the barangay plaza. The various stakeholders gave messages which aimed to educate the people with their health needs and concerns. The local government committed to initiate and support the barangay to continue such program and activities. At least 2,287 beneficiaries were served with health services including immunization, Vitamin A supplementation, deworming, BATAK (Buntis Alagaan, Tamang Atensiyon Kailangan), sub-dermal implantation and removal, blood typing, PPD, eye-check-up, dental services, flouride application, Usapang Teen, libreng gupit and urinalysis. Furthermore, there were also lectures on dengue, hand washing, and adolescent health. Some also received hygiene and maternity kits, long-lasting insecticide-treated screen (mosquito nets), medicines, vitamins and ointments.
