Realizing the Livelihood and Sustainability component of the Kapit Bisig Para sa Kabataan Project, Mahintana Foundation, Inc. , with funding support from Dole Philippines, Inc. , assisted the Municipal Nutrition Council of LGU Polomolok in establishing the Nutripan Bakeshoppe at the U-shaped Public Market Building, Polomolok, South Cotabato, which was formally opened on September 08, 2015 in a simple celebration graced by Hon. Honey L. Lumayag- Matti, Municipal Mayor and Chairperson of the , Municipal Nutrition Council, Mr. Randy Fleming- VP and Managing Director; and Atty. Melquiades L. Hernandez ,III , Director for Corporate Affairs of Dole Philippines, Inc.; and witnessed by members of the Municipal Nutrition Council , principals, Nutrition Coordinators of public elementary schools, Barangay Nutrition Scholars and members of the community. The Nutripan Bakery produces nutritious and affordable breads with candied fruits or vegetables as filling, which will be distributed in identified pilot sites namely Polomolok Central ES, Dole Cannery Central ES, Eustacio Barcatan ES, Eugenio Llido Ranada ES, and Juan Bayan ES and at the bakery outlet to cater to walk in customers. Revenues generated from the sale of bread and other pastries will be used to support programs, projects and activities of the Municipal Nutrition Council , implemented by the Municipal Nutrition Office.
