Mahintana Foundation, Inc., being the Technical Assistance Provider (TAP) for Strengthening Local Governance for Health (HealthGov) Project has successfully conducted the Provincial Health Service Delivery Implementation Review (SDIR) Assessment Workshop for South Cotabato last August 4 to 6, 2009 at Eden Nature Park, Toril, Davao City. The activity was participated by the MHOs and PHNs of Upper Valley (Banga, Surallah, Sto. Niño, Lake Sebu, and T’boli) and Lower Valley (Polomolok, Tupi, Tampakan, Koronadal City, Tantangan), and the Chief of Hospitals and Chief Nurses of the government hospitals (SCPH, NDH, RISMH, LSMH, PMH). Representatives from the Local Government Unit (LGU) such as the SB Chairmen on Health and the Municipal
Provincial Development Coordinators (MPDCs) were also present. This wasconducted in collaboration with the technical team ofthe Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) headed by its Department Head, Dr. Salvecio Dagang, with Dr. Edgardo Sandig, the PHO, who graced the occasion by giving the Closing Remarks and DOH Rpresentatives headed by its PHTL Dra. Louella Estember. Other funding agencies such as HealthPro and A2Z were also invited to join the activity.
