On January 10, 2025, Mahintana, through its Ridge-to-Reef Program and Gully Tree Planting Project, funded by Dole Philippines, Inc., and in partnership with the Notre Dame of Dadiangas UniversityโSenior High School (NDDU-SHS) Department, successfully conducted a bamboo-growing activity at 102B, Cannery Site, Polomolok South Cotabato. The activity mobilized four (4) student clubs, comprising a total of 120 students, who collectively planted 500 bamboo hills across an estimated 0.8-hectare area.

The initiative aimed to promote environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and sustainable land management through youth-led ecological action. The participating students will conduct quarterly monitoring and maintenance of the planted bamboo as part of their structured community outreach activities, thereby ensuring the sustainability and long-term impact of the intervention.

This activity underscores the value of multi-stakeholder collaboration in advancing sustainable environmental initiatives, while highlighting the pivotal role of youth engagement in long-term ecosystem restoration and climate resilience efforts.
