Mahintana Foundation, Inc., through its Chairs-for-Trees project in partnership with Dole Philippines, Inc. and funded by KI Fresh Access (KIFA), successfully donated 100 armchairs to Cebuano Elementary School – Mambusong Extension. With strong support from LGU-Tupi and BLGU-Cebuano, the initiative underscores a collective commitment to enhancing educational facilities while promoting environmental sustainability.

Representing KI Fresh Access, Inc., Mr. Ryo Imanara delivered remarks on behalf of KIFA President Mr. Tanaka, stating, “Through this project, I hope that children will be able to learn in a comfortable environment. I am also pleased to collaborate with you in realizing a sustainable society.”

Ms. Liza Duropan-Lopez of Mahintana, reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to the school community, announcing an additional donation of 50 armchairs. She also assured continued support for student nutrition and overall well-being.
Meanwhile, Tupi Municipal Mayor Hon. Romeo S. Tamayo committed to rehabilitating the school’s canal system, aiming to improve drainage and sanitation for students.

A total of 6,000 trees—equivalent to the number of donated chairs—will be planted, reinforcing the initiative’s commitment to conservation.
