The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) held the awarding ceremony for the annual search for Outstanding Social Work Agencies (SWAs) and Auxiliary Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWADAs) on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Madison 101 Hotel in Quezon City. Among the distinguished honorees was the Mahintana Foundation, Inc. from Region XII, which was recognized as one of the Outstanding SWA awardees.
The awarding was led by Undersecretary Denise Florence Bernos-Bragas of the Standards and Capacity Building Group (SCBG), highlighting the achievements of nine exemplary SWAs and SWDAs from across the country. Each awardee received a plaque of recognition and Php 50,000 worth of cash incentives.
This recognition aims to honor the outstanding SWAs and SWDAs for their exemplary provision of social protection programs and services to the disadvantaged sectors of society. It also serves as a profound testament to Mahintanaβs commitment to transforming lives and fostering resilient communities.
