On November 15, 2024, the HEALTHPlus Program of the Mahintana successfully organized the Lakbay Buhay Kalusugan outreach prorgam in Barangay Daan Suyan, Malapatan, Sarangani Province. The activity, held in partnership with the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) Sarangani and Ronda Probinsya, offered a wide range of essential health services, including medical and dental consultations, tooth extractions, prenatal care (Tutok Buntis), minor surgical procedures (Operation Tuli), laboratory diagnostics, nutrition counseling, and social services.
A total of 565 beneficiaries from neighboring barangays, including Kinam, Daan Suyan, Kihan, and Upper Suyan, availed themselves of these services. The event was graced by local leaders, including Hon. Salway D. Sumbo Jr., Mayor of Malapatan; Dr. Daryl M. Sambuto, Officer-in-Charge of the Municipal Health Office; Dr. Arvin C. Alejandro, Provincial Health Officer II; and Hon. Elizalde P. Segafu, Barangay Captain of Daan Suyan.
Through this initiative, Mahintana reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the health and well-being of communities. By fostering strong partnerships and sustained collective action, this medical mission exemplified the transformative power of collaboration in addressing healthcare needs.
