In a recent training session facilitated by Ms. Emelita Cala, Save the Children Project Coordinator, and Ms. Ann Mejicano, Protection Officer, Mahintana staff deepened their understanding of Basic Child Protection and Safeguarding. The training covered key topics such as child protection and safeguarding. Additionally, the session aimed to identify key components of the Government’s Child Protection System Strengthening (CPSS) and guided staff in developing an action plan to integrate these systems into the workplace, programs, and community development initiatives.
Participants gained knowledge on incorporating child protection measures into their operations, ensuring that both organizational and community-based initiatives adhere to best practices. This expertise will be vital as Mahintana continues its mission of empowering and protecting children and youth in the communities it serves.
