Mahintana Foundation, through its Ridge to Reef Program funded by Dole Philippines Inc., participated in a tree-growing activity led by DPWH Region XII in partnership with MENRO Tupi in celebration of World Environment Month and the DPWH 126th anniversary.
The event was attended by the Tupi Municipal Mayor, Hon. Romeo S. Tamayo, DPWH XII Regional Director, Engr. Basir M. Ibrahim, representatives from Endangered Species International, DPWH staff, and the LGU of Tupi.
A total of 300 seedlings of various native species, including Agoho, Red Nato, Tambis, and Narra, were planted with the aim of reforesting the roadside areas leading to Kablon and Sitio Glandang, Tupi, South Cotabato.
The LGU of Tupi and DPWH Region 12 expressed their gratitude to Mahintana Foundation, Inc., and Dole Philippines, Inc. for its contribution in protecting and preserving the environment.
