Mahintana Foundation Inc., through the ProPEACE consortium, conducted the Promoting Peace Engagements and Community Empowerment Phase 2 (ProPEACE Phase 2) Program Launching and Ceremonial MOU Signing on January 23, 2023 at the Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City. The activity was conducted to formally launch the implementation of the project with goals rooted in the results of the previous phase, and secure the commitment and cooperation of the project partners involved.
The ceremonial signing of the MOU was participated by GCERF National Adviser Atty. Jennifer Buan, Regional Director of DILG XII-Ms. Josephine C. Leysa, Regional Director of DepEd XII-Dr. Carlito D. Rocafort, VP & Managing Director of Dole Philippines Inc.-Mr. Reynaldo C. Doria and President of Mahintana Foundation Inc.-Mr. Martiniano L. Magdolot. Ms. Aida P. Seddic from the National Commission of Muslim Filipinos XII and Atty. Adolf Ryan Lantion from the National Commission of Indigenous People XII also witnessed the event and expressed their intent to support the project. Also in attendance of the activity were the PIA 12, Ronda Probinsya team of PLGU Sarangani, Convergence Program Team of PLGU South Cotabato, representatives of the LGUs from Polomolok, Tupi, Banga, T’boli, Lake Sebu, Alabel, Malapatan and Kiamba, with Hon. George F. Falgui, Mayor of Kiamba, personally attended the activity.
Representatives from tri-people organizations, such as the Hay-ato Ulama and the Values Formation Council of Polomolok, and security forces, PNP-Polomolok and Special Forces 5th Battalion attended the event.
