Mahintana Foundation, Inc. through its Ridge-to-Reef (R2R) Program conducted a monitoring for the adopted area of Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Laws-General Santos City (SP-Gensan) and BLGU-Buayan at Prk. Minanga, Brgy. Buayan, General Santos City on May 29, 2020.
Out of the planted 2,000 mangrove hills, at least 1,000 or 50% survived. Mortalities were caused by algae entanglement and strong wave action. It was observed that the constructed drift materials barrier needed to be repaired and the installed signage to be replaced.
