Mahintana Foundation, Inc. (MFI) participated the 4th Sarangani Province Empowerment and Community Transformation Forum Incorporated (SPECTRUM) Board of Trustees Meeting at RD Foundation, Inc., Orchid St., Purok Sta. Cruz, Calumpang, General Santos City on December 10, 2019.
The agenda of the meeting was mainly focused on the Project REDUCE Accomplishment Report, where a total of 13.04 tons of coastal garbage from Sarangani Bay coastal communities was collected. Thirty percent (30%) of that are recyclable wastes including PET bottles and was upcycled by partner schools and institutions. An approximate 7,500 individuals participated in all project activities ranging from government officials and personnel to local household of the partner coastal communities. This constitutes to the estimated 50,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries had been served, with six barangays participated. Also, presented in the meeting was the Proposal of Project i-REDUCE (“i” means intensified). Also, presented and discussed in the meeting was the participation of SPECTRUM Project Officers to workshops, accreditation of SPECTRUM to LGU-Gensan and PLGU/LGU-Sarangani, and fund-raising initiatives (run-for-a-cause).
