Initiated by Dole Philippines, Inc. through Mahintana Foundation, Inc., the Road Safety Project has been launched on June 20, 2013, to answer to the increasing number of transportation accidents in Polomolok. As Mr. Simon Denye, VP and Managing Director of Dole Philippines, Inc., has emphasized in his Inspirational Message “everyone of us, drivers or passengers, is responsible for themselves and the lives of other commuters, once they go out travelling along the streets”, the event has adopted the theme, “Road Safety is everybody’s responsibility”. The project shall be implemented in partnership with the Local Government of Polomolok through MTFRB/MPDO and LDRRMC, PNP –Polomolok, LTO –Region XII and Polomolok, TESDA –Region XII and South Cotabato, DPWH-Gensan and 23 BLGUs through the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC).
