On October 5, the COMPACT Year 2 Project and Save the Children conducted a learning conversation at El Cielo Function House, Tupi South Cotabato to address prevalent health-related concerns such as immunization, child marriage, malnutrition, and among others in the municipality.
Representatives from LGUs, CSGs, CSOs, CLGs, and parent circles gathered to discuss issues such as immunization, child marriage, and malnutrition. The focus was on identifying and addressing specific challenges within the barangays of Kablon, Miasong, and Acmonan.
Participants, including members of the Optimist Mountain Famer’s Association Cooperative, Indigenous People Women’s Association, Barangay Health Worker Association, Matutum Maglad Famer’s Association, and CLGs, shared their experiences. Family problems, teenage pregnancy, and Internet addiction emerged as significant concerns, forming the core issues of the problem tree analysis.
To address these challenges, participants collaboratively developed an action plan outlining activities and programs aimed at mitigating the identified core problems.
This learning conversation marks a significant step towards improving the health and well-being of communities in Tupi, South Cotabato.
