Mahintana is excited to share the ongoing progress of Mindanaoโs first-ever Bamboo School, funded by the AY Foundation, Inc. and Dole Philippines, Inc., which is currently under construction at Landan Elementary School, Polomolok, South Cotabato, using the Cement Bamboo Frame Technology of BASE Bahay Foundation, Inc. This innovative project aims to provide a sustainable, community-centered learning environment that fosters education, environmental awareness, and cultural engagement.
Construction is progressing steadily with the support of the 549th Engineer “Kapayapaan” Battalion of the 54th Engineer Brigade and the 38th Infantry “We Clear” Battalion of the 1st Mechanized Infantry โMaaasahanโ Brigade of the Philippine Armyโdemonstrating a strong commitment to collaborative, resilient, and eco-friendly educational infrastructure.
Once completed, the facility will serve as a model for sustainable learning spaces in Mindanao, nurturing knowledge and opportunities rooted in nature and culture.
