ProPEACE Program successfully conducts “Culture of Peace Training and Action-Planning on Peace-Oriented Service Delivery” last September, 25-27, 2024 at Dream Weavers Hotel, Alunan Avenue, Koronadal City. The training aimed to enhance public service delivery among Polomolok Tri-People Peace Actors, comprising representatives from various organizations/offices, including:

• Indigenous People Municipal Tribal Council

• 38th Infantry Battalion

• PNP-Polomolok

Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)

• Muslim Council of Elders

• Moro Youth Organization of Polomolok (MYOP)

• Local Peoples Council

• Matutum Ministerial Association (MMA)

• National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP)

• LGU Staff from the Mayor’s Office, Human Resources, Planning, Tourism, LYDO, MSWDO, MHO, CSOs, and BAU

• Sangguniang Bayan, including the Office of IPMR, Committee on Peace, Education, Vice Mayor, and SK

Participants enhanced their understanding through discussions on Peace related topic led by distinguished resource persons, including Ms. Ma. Theresa Santillan (Mahintana M&E Officer), Atty. Carl Catedrilla (NCIP XII Regional Hearing Officer), Pastor Eugene Natalio (Former MMA President), Ustadz Muhamad Ambod (Hay-Ato Ulama Branch Secretary), Atty. Noel A. Ben (Founder/Chairperson of Sentro ng Batas At Adbokasiya), and Ms. Atilla Baynosa-Lapidez (LGOO V).

The session was further enriched by the presence of Ms. Liza Duropan-Hora, Executive Director of Mahintana, who shared her message of support and insights with the participants.

This initiative supports the celebration of Peace Consciousness Month and aligns with ProPEACE’s mission of Promoting Peace specially to help tri-people live in peace and security.
