The multi-sectoral Technical Working Group of the HIMSOG Tupi (Health Initiatives, Mitigations, Services and Opportunities for Growth of Tupi ) project, with funding assistance from Dole Philippines, Inc. through Mahintana Foundation, Inc. initiated the conduct of the 1st ever HIMSOG Day on September 04, 2015 at the Municipal Grounds, as part of the 11-day activities in celebration of the 62nd Foundation Anniversary and 6th Agten Tufi Festival of the Municipality of Tupi. The activity aims to promote health, wellness, environmental management and disaster risk reduction among the constituents of Tupi and recognize community leaders who excel in the implementation and documentation of integrated community projects and activities. A short program officially signaled the start of the day long activity with HIMSOG Tupi project stakeholders present to show their support to the HIMSOG Day celebration and to the project in general, which we was followed by the official launch of the Search for HIMSOG Barangay with the rationale and guidelines read by MLGOO Debbie Grace Pendon, and the HIMSOG Tupi Logo design contest, and the HIMSOG Tupi jingle/song composition contest, mechanics and guidelines of the contest aired over the PA system and the LGU-operated radio station.
