The Road Safety Project funded by  Dolefil  and implemented by MFI  in partnership with TESDA XII, LTO-XII, LGU-Polomolok, PNP and the job contracting cooperatives , had its recognition program for Road Safety Advocates on April 23, 2014 at the Polomolok Municipal Gymnasium , bringing together 389 drivers from 27 tricycle operators and drivers’ associations (TODAs) who have completed the training on Road Courtesy, Road Safety and Defensive Driving. The recognition program was an opportunity to present project accomplishments and express appreciation to public and private agencies who have contributed in carrying out the activities of the project. 1,436 tricycle drivers have undergone the  training and the project hopes to reach to as much as 4,000 tricycle  and single motorcycle drivers  in Polomolok.

Dolefil’s VP and Managing Director Simon Denye, in his message,   reminded the driver-advocates on the importance of checking the condition of their vehicles before they drive, stressing to be responsible  not only for their safety but also for the people whose lives are at the hands of the drivers – their passengers.
