On September 30 to October 1, 2024, Mahintana’s MOVE Project, funded by the BPI Foundation, conducted a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Training at G WOODS Place, Polomolok, South Cotabato. The two-day event aimed to equip local farmers and food processors with vital skills to ensure food safety, improve product quality, and enhance market access for their productsโ€”key drivers for the sustainability and growth of the agricultural sector.

Led by Ms. Claribelle B. Tahitit, DTI-Polomolok Focal Person and the resource person for the training, the event saw active participation from 30 attendees, including members of the Food Day Association and Landan Farmers. The sessions covered essential GMP guidelines and food safety practices, offering both theoretical insights and practical activities that brought these lessons to life.

Participants left the workshop better prepared to meet industry standards, produce high-quality food, and unlock new market opportunities, driving profitability and long-term success in the local agricultural landscape.
