Mahintana Foundation, Inc., headed by Miss Liza Duropan-Hora, together with the MLGU Polomolok, headed by Hon. Mayor Bernie Palencia presented the Bamboo Project Proposal to the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) Office.
Undersecretary Elpidio Jordan and their Commissioner Ambassador Atty. Andre Tayag, shared the PCUP access to funding opportunities to promote and address the need for housing for marginalized people. USEC Elpidio Jordan expressed his support by facilitating and linking Mahintanaβs project to other government agencies and private partners from China, United States, Australia, and Singapore to access funds for the materialization of the project. The PCUP has committed to giving its support to building the first two (2) units of the bamboo model houses to be built at Brgy. Crossing Palkan, Polomolok.
