As part of the technical assistance provided by the National Pharmaceutical Foundation (NPF), Mahintana Foundation, Inc. (MFI), serving as Health Plus Provincial Pharmaceutical Franchisee in SOCSARGEN Area conducted a Trainers Training for NPF Branch Managers, MFI and KMFI-Caraga, July 30, 2009 at T’boli Restaurant, General Santos City.
NPF Chief Executive Officer Ms. Fe Remotigue introduced the standard business plan format during the one-day Apprenticeship Trainers Training for the Core Managers which equipped them with the healthplus core processes and skills.
Remotigue said the selected core managers will serve as the resource persons in the future business planning engagements for the health plus franchise applicants in their respective area of operation.
Core Managers are Alona Suyom-NPF Tacloban, Leny Belnas – NPF Bacolod, Rey Gabilagon-MFI, Ma. Bernadette Mojica-KMFI Caraga and Atty. Daisy Ronquillo – Executive Assistant-KMFI Caraga.
Part of the training was an exposure on the HPsis operation which was held in the afternoon of July 30,2009.
The group preceded to the Dr. Roel I. Senador Memorial Hospital –Health plus shop in shop and the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital –Health Plus Shop in a Shop. The purpose of the trip was to make the NPF and KMFI- Caraga understand the operation of HPSIS and learn the good practices and experiences in running the health plus shop in a shop for them to replicate in their area. This is because they have already the demand for this kind of business model. The two (2) HPsis established by Mahintana served as the learning sites of NPF for the Health plus Shop in a Shop (HPSIS) model.
The following day, July 31, a Business Planning workshop was conducted and facilitated by the core managers as their practicum for the HPP franchise applicant of Maasim, Sarangani Province-St. Cruz Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SCMPC) and the currently upgraded pharmacy of Tibud sa Katibawasan Multi-purpose Cooperative (TSKMPC) of Cannery Site, Polomolok, South Cotabato.
The seminar workshop was participated by twenty (23) Board of Directors, Officers and staff of the two (2) cooperatives. Five (5) guide question and model template were provided by Remotigue for the participants.
At the end of the day, the two groups were able to present their own business plan for their respective proposed Pharmacy .
Next action plan based on the critical path method (CPM) is the signing of the Social Franchising Agreement (SFA) and the processing of license to operate with the Bureau Of Foods and Drugs (BFAD).
